GUIDE: ENABLING LOCATION SHARING FOR FOX HUNT

Would you and your team like to play a Fox Hunt (digital scavenger hunt)? To be able to play the Fox Hunt, it is necessary that at least one smartphone in your team shares its location. The reason for this: our Fox Hunts work with geo-location. You can only start a puzzle once you are at the correct location and the Fox Hunt system has recognized your position.

To ensure everything runs smoothly during your Fox Hunt adventure, here is a guide for enabling location sharing:

iPhone:

Check location sharing settings

1.Privacy settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and make sure that Location Services are enabled.

2. App-specific permissions (Google Chrome or Safari):

  • Scroll down in the Location Services menu and check which apps have access to your location. You can set permissions to Never, While Using the App, or Always.

Android:

Enable location services

1.Open Settings:

  • Tap the Settings app on your Android device:

2.Go to Location:

  • Scroll down and tap" Location" (sometimes also "Security & Location" or "Connections" depending on the manufacturer).

3.Enable location:

  • Turn on location access by switching the toggle to "On".
